Effective psychotherapy and couples counseling do not simply analyze your problems, they help you make permanent changes. Psychotherapy is a powerful tool for changing relationships. This may include relationships with your partner, family, or other significant people. It also includes your relationship with yourself. My 25 years' experience as a psychotherapist in Marin has shown that when people begin to improve how they treat and view themselves, even in small ways, the benefits are enormous. Together, we can do that.
Areas of special expertise include helping clients:
1) Cope with feeling alone or overwhelmed
2) Overcome self-defeating patterns
3) Heal from a narcissistic family upbringing
4) Cope with difficult people
5) Overcome setbacks in relationships, career, finances, health, or emotional life
6) Enhance creativity
7) Deepen intimacy
I work in a supportive manner and tailor individual psychotherapy or marriage counseling to your unique needs, background, and preferences. I have openings for new clients and I invite you to contact me to discuss how I can help you.

FEES AND INSURANCE:
If you have insurance that covers counseling, I will provide statements for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement at out-of-network rates. My fee is $180 for a 60-minute session.
If you do not have insurance that covers counseling and my fee is beyond your financial means, I dedicate a portion of my practice to providing lower-cost therapy as a service to the community on a sliding scale based on income. If you feel this applies to you, please inquire about this when contacting me and I will do all I can to meet your needs.
