Description of Practice
I am enthusiastic, I feel deeply, and I believe in the power of humor - these are core to who I am as a person and core to who I am as a therapist. Many people come to me experiencing anxiety, depression, and shame - I help people move beyond these and feel less alone. I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ folks navigating coming out, relationships, sex, and healing from the impacts of growing up in an anti-queer world.
I believe meaningful personal change occurs through self-understanding and self-compassion for our current and younger selves. My therapeutic approach is one that invites focus on these two components by placing particular emphasis on releasing people from (often unconscious) limiting beliefs we have about ourselves we internalized long ago.
