Short Description
I am an experienced, interactive therapist who provides a safe, supportive space for individuals, couples and families to talk openly about problems, reveal deep fears, identify strengths and discover new ways to cope with challenging situations.
Description of Practice
I am a psychotherapist with over thirty years of experience. People describe me as warm, understanding, knowledgeable, empowering and grounded. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and my style is interactive. I provide a safe space to talk openly about problems, reveal deep fears, identify strengths, and discover new ways to cope with challenging situations. I help people become more self-confident, improve their relationships, and enjoy more satisfying, productive lives.

I tailor my approach to fit the unique needs of each person I see. I provide individual, couple and family therapy and enjoy working with all age groups, including children, adolescents and adults. I offer brief, solution focused therapy and longer term depth psychotherapy.

Currently I am focusing on the following areas of expertise: adoption issues, infertility, ADHD, conflict resolution, divorce and co-parenting, single parenting, living with chronic pain, and coping with the challenges of family caregiving. In addition to my professional training and experience, these specializations have personal meaning as well.

In addition to my private practice I worked with government and non-profit agencies. I developed a program in Marin County to address domestic violence in the justice system, worked as a therapist for the Marin Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program, as a Family Assessment Specialist and a Mediator for Family Court Services in Napa County, and I was an Assistant Clinical Director for a non-profit counseling agency in San Rafael. Additionally, I served on the Marin Camft Ethics and Scholarship Committees.
