MARIN CAMFT MEMBERSHIP POLICIES

  • All members of Marin CAMFT must be members of state CAMFT. You will be asked for your CAMFT membership number when you sign up for membership in our chapter.
  • We offer free membership to current students and associates!
  • Marin CAMFT memberships renew on January 1 of each year. There is currently a 30-day grace period for renewal, after which there will be a $15 reapplication fee.

  • Beginning in 2021, in our effort to Go Green and reduce paperwork processing and the delays that causes, we are now only  accepting payment for memberships and for events only online, via credit cards processed on our website.

  • New paid memberships for Clinical LMFT and Other Professionals (LPCC, LEP, etc.) are set to auto-renew by default. This helps reduce costs for our volunteer-run organization.  Your credit card on file will be automatically charged on January 1st next year unless you specify that you wish to stop the automatic payment, which can be done at any time in your account.

  • A note on online privacy: Please note that if you use your Facebook or Google accounts to log in to our site, then you are sharing information with those other companies. Marin CAMFT has no control over what those other companies do with your data or how you are tracked if you choose to use those options.

NEW MEMBERSHIP

  1. Create your membership by selecting the desired membership level on the Online Membership Application.  Click the "Next" button at the bottom right of the page to move through the application.
  2. We require your name, email, phone and mailing address to sign up. If you do not want to be listed in our Therapist Directory, you'll want to change your Privacy Options once your membership is finalized. Your mailing address will not show in the directory, and you also have the option of excluding your email or phone from the directory.
  3. The Short Description (199 characters max) will appear in search results summary when people search our Therapist Directory. Both the short and the long Descriptions (2950 characters max) appear in your profile.
  4. Under "Areas of Interest," please do not select more than 5 areas. Any selections after the first 5 will be removed (this is done for reasons of fairness to other therapists in the directory). Clinical Orientation is limited to 4, and Office Locations to 2. CLICK HERE for more on why.
  5. Include your photo if you would like it included in your profile.
  6. Click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
  7. Review and confirm that the information is correct. Click "Confirm and proceed with payment" for the licensed clinician levels. Please note that our paid memberships are set up to automatically renew each January 1st. You will receive an email in advance of the renewal being processed. You can turn off auto-renew if you prefer by going to your membership settings.
