Benefits of Membership in Marin CAMFT

Marin CAMFT is an award-winning and distinguished-leadership chapter of state CAMFT, dedicated to supporting members of state CAMFT who live and/or work in Marin County.

Benefits of membership in the Marin County chapter of CAMFT include:

  • Access to at least 12 hours of approved Continuing Education programs every year.  Our CE presentations are offered "live" on zoom. We are proud to offer compelling and timely topics relevant to your practice, with many trainings available online so you don't have to leave your home or office
  • Access to Marin CAMFT On-Demand Courses, where you can earn CEs at your convenience by watching our pre-recorded trainings. Most courses are available for free to Marin CAMFT members, or at a significant discount (same pricing for the course via on-demand as offered during the original "live" training on Zoom). Members can find the sign-up code for accessing these on-demand trainings in their Marin CAMFT member account (sign in to view).
  • Access to reciprocal benefits at certain other CAMFT chapters including Redwood Empire CAMFT, where you can join their CE trainings at a reduced price or often free. Members can find the sign-up code for registering for reciprocal-chapter trainings in their Marin CAMFT member account (sign in to view).
  • Exclusive access to our members-only listserv, and newsletters to read and post about client referrals, office rentals, professional workshops, employment opportunities, networking events, and other practice-related issues.
  • A customizable listing of your practice in our Marin Therapists Directory.
  • Quarterly newsletters and regular email announcements to help you build and thrive in your therapy practice.
  • Discounts on ads in our newsletter, and the Therapy Groups List.
  • Opportunities to lessen the isolation that can come with private practice by connecting with other local clinicians.

Marin CAMFT is the largest professional group of mental health professionals in Marin County. MFTs comprise the largest group of mental health care providers in area, numbering nearly half of the nearly 2,000 licensed mental health clinicians in this county. Marin CAMFT is the only local organization that represents Marin MFTs.

Our chapter is full of great members ranging from those just beginning their practices to those nearing the culmination of many years as therapists. Since moving to Zoom based trainings during the pandemic, we have been working to create more events and more value for our members. Marin CAMFT is now one of the larger chapters in the state, and we continue to offer Continuing Education and professional networking events on a wide range of timely and relevant topics via Zoom and in person in the local community.
