The Romance Archetype: The Key to Inner and Outer Relationship
All stories of Lovers, who get separated and reunited have the same form. We find these stories all over the world and throughout history. This form is the Romance Archetype. It is a universal intuition into the nature of transformation from the heart of humanity.
This form models one complete cycle of transformation not only in couples, but in individuals. It is therefore a remarkable key for therapy, both individual and relational.
My goals for the presentation:
William Pennell Rock, M. Litt (Cantab.), PhD was educated in philosophy and psychology at Yale, Harvard, Kings College Cambridge and the Jung Institute in Zurich and has specialized in archetypal psychology, combining many disciplines including Comparative Religions, Existential Philosophy, Jungian Therapy and mythological studies. He has lived, learned and taught around the world He is the creator and director of ORIGINS that is a form of Jungian psychodrama based open the two Archetypes of Transformation: the Hero’s Journey and the Romance Archetype.
ORIGINS, now for the first time offering workshops in the Bay Area, permits participants to create a personal myth that is the map of their individuation process and to use this map to pass through present crises and difficulties into greater integration. All of this takes place in a group situation in which each individual opens up into a deep connection with others as they become aware that, however particular their stories may be, their central form, our essential human path, is one. Great intimacy arises from this.
Time: Networking is from 11:30 to 12:00 p.m. Presentation begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 2:00 p.m.
