Meet in front of Ross Elementary School

9 Lagunitas Road, Ross at 10 a.m.

We will walk up to and around Phoenix Lake - 

5 miles of Marin's natural beauty!

Everyone is welcome!  Please register so I know how many people will be coming.

This walk and talk meet-up takes place in one of the most beautiful spots in Marin County.  Phoenix Lake is part of the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed and is the gateway to many beautiful trails full of redwoods, oaks, meadows, creeks and beautiful, beautiful views.  It’s unbelievable that we have this jewel in our back yard. The hike around the lake is 2.8 miles but we will be adding 2 miles as we are going to park on Lagunitas Road in Ross and walk up to the Lake.  There is one moderately steep road to the the Lake.  Beyond that not a lot of climbing but we will at times be on a narrow trail with loose dirt and roots, etc.... Please wear appropriate shoes with tread and bring water. 

To get there: From Highway 101 take the San Anselmo / Sir Francis Drake Exit . Drive west approximately 2.5 miles and turn Left at stop light on Lagunitas Road (watch for it after you pass College Ave.).  Meet us in front of the elementary school at 9 Lagunitas Road.
