Attendees at this 60 minute-presentation
(then 30 minutes for discussion) will determine which of the following topics will be addressed, through a show of hands at the beginning of the meeting. The presentation will take one hour and thirty minutes will be set aside for discussion.

  • Medication adherence coaching
  • Evidence-based psychotherapy and collaborative care service delivery models

Michael A. Freeman, MD, PhD
is both a psychologist and psychiatrist. He practices in Kentfield and teaches on the faculty of the Bipolar Disorder program at U.C. San Francisco. Dr. Freeman participates in collaborative care teams with other mental health professionals to help provide comprehensive mental health and medication management services. An early advocate of primary care – mental health integration, Dr. Freeman served on the Medicaid Transition Team for President Jimmy Carter, and on the mental health task force of Hilary Clinton’s 1994 health care reform effort. He subsequently served as the founding Chief Medical Officer of United Behavioral Health, as the President if the Institute for Behavioral Healthcare, and as the Chairman of the Behavioral Healthcare Tomorrow National Dialogue Conference.



Networking:
Evening Lecture meetings include a networking period from 5:30-6:00. At this time members may choose to introduce themselves and speak briefly (up to 1 min.) about their practice. Members are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers and brochures to share.
