Short Description
Adult Individual Psychotherapy and Groups for Mind, Body, Spirit. Supporting those coping with a health condition, loss, life transition, or a traumatic experience.
Description of Practice
I help clients to cope with a chronic or terminal illness such as cancer; the loss of a loved one; or to move through life transitions with more ease, new meaning, and a stronger sense of self. Many clients also have experienced trauma, be it acute or complex trauma. I utilize a body-oriented approach, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to treat these conditions.

I especially like supporting women as they transition through the many developmental phases of their lives. This may be as a young adult woman finding her empowered, authentic self. A pregnant or post-partum woman managing her changing moods, preparing for this rite of passage, and adjusting to a new role. A perimenopausal/menopausal woman examining her life, finding her voice, and taking new risks.

I help clients to discover a deeper sense of knowing themselves, strengthen their own internal wisdom and resources for solving problems, and help them to cope with stressful times in their lives. I support clients in feeling connected to themselves, to their bodies, to others, and to the earth. My work is integrated, focusing not only on verbal expression and understanding, but from mindful wisdom accessed from the body, and from imaginal, spiritual, or creative exploration.
