Short Description
Adult, adolescent and Couple therapy in English or French for those experiencing depression, anxiety, loss of direction, or dealing with issues of cultural identity and creative self-expression.
Description of Practice
My approach to therapy involves integrating complementary methodologies to offer a personalized style, attuned to each person's needs and personality. I combine traditional psychodynamic talk-therapy with work on dreams, journal writing, active imagination, and mindfulness.
I am originally from France but have spent most of my adult life in the US, and conduct therapy in either English or French. My personal quest for psychological balance and spiritual values has been anchored in a dedicated practice of meditation over the past 50 years. I had a successful massage & bodywork career prior to turning to the formal study of clinical psychology.
My background includes experience in the following areas: Caregiving & grief counseling for hospice patients; Suicide Prevention Hotline; Spirit Rock Meditation Center; Counselor at Helen Vine Detox Center; Homeward Bound homeless & transitional shelters; Canal Alliance Teens counseling; Living Skills Trainer for developmentally disabled persons; San Francisco Waldorf School parent and volunteer; Licensed Yoga Teacher.
