Description of Practice
My therapeutic frame is informed by the depth work of Carl Jung. I have an analytic/symbolic approach that helps us to find the deeper meanings to the issues you bring to work on. This is in contrast to approaches that treat symptoms as pathology that need to be fixed or gotten rid of. Symptom relief may be a by-product of our work, but the bigger goal is to discover who you are, what matters most, and how you optimally function in your unique individual life. Jung calls this the path to individuation. Another way to say this is we discover the you of you. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative space, where together, we explore what matters most to you. A result of this work can be new insights, capacities, and a sense of self that is bigger then one thought possible. Depth work is about becoming a whole person in order to participate more fully in your life. I am an analytic candidate at the San Francisco C.G. Jung Institute.
