Description of Practice
I am a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice specializing in psychiatric evaluation, medical management and therapy for children, adolescents and adults in San Francisco and Marin. I am experienced in multiple modalities of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy (for children), trauma-focused therapy (CPT, CBT and prolonged exposure), cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based approaches. I tailor each psychotherapeutic and medication intervention to the individual client and issues presented, taking care to understand and work within the framework of psychological, social and biological factors unique to each individual. I see clients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorders, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, formerly called ADD), child and parenting issues, stress, insomnia and relationship issues. I am available for supervision and consultation.
