Description of Practice
Chronic/Terminal illness and grief specialist. I am an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (124141). I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have experience working with adults, teens and children facing difficulties related to cancer and chronic illnesses, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, grief and loss. My approach is both client-centered and solution-focused, while incorporating many other treatment modalities based on client needs.
In addition to private practice, I currently work as a grief counselor at Hospice by the Bay. Previously, I worked as a therapist at Cancer Support Community. While I specialize in grief and chronic/terminal illness, I am comfortable working with a wide range of issues.
I believe in the importance of compassion, empathy and kindness in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients.
