Short Description
Ashley Macy is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in private practice in Mill Valley and San Francisco.
Description of Practice
Ashley has experience working with children 8+, adolescents and adults in individual, group and family therapy through integrative counseling modalities in school and home based as well as community oriented mental health settings.

Ashley has encountered clients seeking explorative therapeutic work due to encountering, traversing and coming up against life changes, complexities, transitions and stressors. In working with clients Ashley has also tended to more specific cognitive, behavioral, emotional, cultural, identity, relational, substance use, and trauma related inquiries, issues and challenges.

Ashley’s therapeutic approach is insight oriented, client centered, collaborative, culturally humble and trauma informed. Ashley aims to join with clients to uncover, examine and process often strategically developed coping, behavioral, emotional, somatic and thought patterns, practices and solutions that may no longer be serving them and that they may want to replace and/or seek to change.
