Short Description
Over 30 years working with individuals and couples from a psychoanalytic, intersubjective orientation.
Description of Practice
Although I am psychoanalytically informed, including object relations, self psychology and intersubjective approaches, I work relationally and am interactive. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 1992, and am particularly interested in issues of aging and transition. Since COVID, I work exclusively online and have found that there are certain advantages in working this way: no commute, no searching for parking, no need to be local. I have found this way of working satisfactory and fulfilling since leaving my office in Cow Hollow in San Francisco. My background is in music and the visual arts, and I write for the online platform "Medium." I love my work and plan to continue working indefinitely.
