Description of Practice
Hello, I'm Robert and I'm a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT). If you are a gay or straight man or in relationship with one, I can help you address conflict and get your relationship back on the right track. EFCT is a humanistic, evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, drawing primarily from attachment theory to facilitate the creation of secure, vibrant connection with self and others. Rooted in the science of emotions and attachment, EFCT helps clients identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress.

I help men individually to address their personal, relational and career roadblocks so they can have fulfilling lives. I bring a relational psychodynamic orientation to my work with individuals where I get to know all about your present, your past, your coping strategies and what is working and what is not. I work with trauma using a both a relational approach and Internal Family Systems which looks at the different parts of the self.
