Short Description
Supporting teens and adults with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. Using body awareness, creative arts, and nature-based practices to foster healing, self-expression, and self-worth.
Description of Practice
Hello, I’m Carter, a somatic therapist committed to helping teens and adults navigate life’s
challenges by fostering self-awareness, healing, and emotional resilience. I specialize in
supporting individuals dealing with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, panic, grief, loss, and significant life
transitions. My practice combines body awareness, creative arts therapy, and sensorimotor
psychotherapy, providing a holistic, trauma-informed approach to healing.
I create a safe, sensory-sensitive environment that encourages clients to slow down, tune into
their bodies, and identify how emotions are held and expressed physically. Through this process, we uncover pathways to self-understanding and growth. I work closely with clients to help them recognize and process their emotions, giving voice to different parts of themselves, and fostering a sense of self-worth through practices like inner child work, self-parenting, and parts work.
What I value most about the individuals I work with is their courage and willingness to engage in this transformative process. My therapeutic approach is designed to help clients cultivate
self-acceptance and embrace all parts of themselves. By naming and understanding these
different internal experiences, clients can develop a more compassionate relationship with
themselves, reinforcing their sense of identity and self-worth.
Drawing on my background in vocal production, I also integrate creative, body-based tools that
support nervous system regulation and emotional exploration. These methods help clients find
authentic expression and clarity in how they communicate their needs and emotions. Whether it’s through breathwork, movement, or sound, each tool serves as a resource to support emotional healing and personal growth.
In addition, I incorporate spiritual and nature-based practices, providing an earth-centered
perspective that deepens the connection between mind, body, and the natural world. These practices are particularly effective in grounding clients and enhancing their connection to self
and others.
I am dedicated to empowering clients to not only manage their challenges but to embrace their
unique strengths, develop resilience, and thrive in their personal lives. My mission is to support
individuals on a journey toward self-acceptance, self-expression, and holistic well-being. Sessions are available in person and virtually. If you are ready to explore new pathways toward
healing and empowerment, I invite you to reach out.
