Short Description
Angela Luna, JD, LMFT, offers art therapy for trauma, expressive arts therapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting in San Pablo and Marin, blending holistic trauma healing with creativity and compassion.
Description of Practice
Luna, JD, LMFT, is an expressive arts therapist, trauma specialist, holistic creative coach and educator who harnesses the transformative power of creativity to guide healing and personal growth. With over 25 years of experience, Luna blends clinical depth with expressive, soul-centered practices to help others navigate trauma, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm with compassion and resilience.
Luna holds a Master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Juris Doctorate from UC Davis. She has served as a clinician, trainer, supervisor, and manager in settings including the Alameda County Trauma Recovery Center, Contra Costa hospitals and school systems, and now through her thriving private practice. Through her classes, workshops, and trainings, Luna offers education and experiential guidance in topics such as Expressive Arts Therapy, Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, Nature and Nervous System Healing, Parts Work, and Trauma-Informed Care.
Luna’s holistic approach centers on the belief that artistic expression opens pathways to profound healing and transformation. She crafts personalized experiences that integrate modalities such as Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA), EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic therapy, mindfulness, nature-based healing, parts work, movement, and intuitive creative process.
Her mission is to empower people to move beyond complex PTSD, childhood trauma, and anxiety toward self-trust, inner strength, and aligned purpose.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in Spanish, Luna is deeply committed to equity and accessibility. She holds space for diverse voices and honors each person’s creative spirit. Her creative coaching philosophy is based on the belief that everyone possesses innate artistic wisdom, regardless of their background or experience.
When not guiding others on their healing journey, Luna finds joy in spending time with her husband and “fur familia,” dancing, creating beautiful spaces, and taking walks in nature with her doggos.
