I'm a skillful, collaborative therapist who works with all issues and ages 14-104
Description of Practice
Licensed since 1991, I have had the privilege of working with many couples, adults, and teens to help them get past their stuck places. Often misunderstandings arise between family members; my work is to help each person understand themselves so that they may be better understood by others. Sometimes people see me to help figure their way out of a suffocating depression or to stabilize from crippling anxiety.

For years, much of my focus (although certainly not ALL of my focus) has been on working with teens and their families. The teen years are stereotypically seen as a tough "get through" stage where nothing can be done to improve relationships in the family or motivation in and outside of school. I don't see adolescence that way. The teen years are important in the development of identity - it's a very exciting time! Unfortunately for kids and parents, that excitement can end up going in the wrong direction. If that's happening for you or your child, I can help.

I also love working with adults in individual or couples therapy. I work collaboratively to help each person overcome their depression, anxiety, or dysfunctional communication patterns.
