Description of Practice
I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based methods that have been proven effective in promoting mental and emotional well-being.

Although I offer services in support of children and couples (see below), I have developed a deep understanding of and specialize in working with individuals living with Parkinson's Disease (PD), as well as the dedicated caregivers who support them. If you are part of this demographic, know that you are not alone, and I am here to provide guidance and support on your journey.

For Parkinson's Patients:
I offer comprehensive therapeutic support for individuals navigating the challenges that come with Parkinson's Disease. This may include managing symptoms, coping with lifestyle adjustments, addressing emotional well-being, and providing guidance on maintaining a high quality of life.

For Caregivers:
I recognize the invaluable role caregivers play in the lives of those with chronic or life-limiting conditions. As such, I provide a supportive and empathetic space for caregivers to share their experiences, discuss their own emotional needs, and learn effective strategies for managing the demands of caregiving.

For Couples:
If you and your partner are experiencing increased conflicts, communication breakdowns, or a sense of disconnection, I apply the renowned Gottman Couples Therapy method. This evidence-based approach emphasizes improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering intimacy. By utilizing the principles of the Gottman Method, I work with couples to rebuild trust and strengthen their connections.

Children and Adolescents:
I offer guidance and support by creating a safe and supportive environment for young individuals to express themselves, develop coping strategies, and address issues such as anxiety, depression, or adjustment to complex life transitions, such as coping with parent separations and managing social pressures.

My journey in the field of therapy began with a strong educational foundation from my graduate degree at Dominican University, as well as advanced training at University of California San Francisco’s School of Medicine, where I completed a program focused on Interprofessional Palliative Care Education. . In addition, I am a co-founder of a training and education company called Dyalogues at https://www.dyalogues.com

Whether we meet in person or via Zoom, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore, heal, and grow. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if you're ready to begin your therapeutic journey with me. I offer a free 15-minute no obligation “meet & greet” call to see if there is a fit.
