Short Description
Compassionate, interactive therapy for adults, teens and couples. I am passionate about supporting mothers and couples throughout their parenting journey, including infertility, birth trauma, postpartum mood issues and the couple’s adjustment.
Description of Practice
If you are a parent struggling with mood or sleep, trying to manage all the changes of the postpartum period, I can help. If you have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma or painful unmet expectations, this is the place for you to grieve and process. If negative body image, eating issues, and other addictions are impacting your life, I am also here for you. Or, you may need help decreasing your anxiety and depression or navigating relationships or career transitions. I can assist with those issues as well. It IS possible to deal with your challenges in more constructive ways and find balance.

My approach integrates psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, while adding mindfulness-based practices. Your goals will guide us, but I will help you resolve long-standing issues that maybe keeping you stuck. Once you have tools to improve your daily functioning and decrease emotional reactivity, you can end behaviors that are no longer useful.

I understand it is a big step to begin this process. For therapy to be effective, you need a space where you can feel safe but also challenged. My therapeutic style combines compassion and empathy with an interactive approach. Your issues, needs and strengths will guide my focus, but we will work collaboratively to achieve your goals.
