Register for one or both of these two workshops being held on October 21. Both qualify for the BBS requirement for Law & Ethics continuing education.
This information is for the Afternoon Session: Saturday, October 21, 1pm to 4:30pm. Information for the Morning Session is available here.
If you are working with transgender and gender non-conforming clients you will be asked to write letters for them to receive gender affirming medical care. To be culturally competent with these clients you need to be able to write these letters. Learn about the WPATH standards of care that oversee such letters and the ethical issues that may arise.
Cathy Hanville, LCSW (they/she) has been in private practice since 2001, first in San Francisco, then the East Bay, and now both in CA and PA where she has moved to. They specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and gender. She is certified as an EMDRIA Consultant and as a WPATH Gender specialist. They also coach other therapists on starting and building their practices.
Attendance for the entirety of the Zoom event and completion of the course evaluation afterwards will qualify for 3.0 Law & Ethics Continuing Education hours.
Upon registering you will receive a Zoom link and password.
For more information about the Saturday Workshop Series or about joining the Committee, please contact Marin CAMFT's Director of Programs Norman Hering.
CEs are available only with attendance for the entirety of the Zoom session. You must complete the course evaluation afterwards in order to receive a completion certificate, which will be emailed to you when the evaluation is submitted. Because of the requirement to attend the training in full, if you attempt to log in to the Zoom meeting late, after the training is already underway, you may not be admitted from the waiting room. Please log onto the event promptly at the listed event start time.
