MARIN CAMFT IN THE COMMUNITYMarin CAMFT is participating in these upcoming community events across Marin, and we are looking for volunteers! Sunday, May 18: "Spring Into Wellness" at Terra Linda High School This is Marin County Youth Commission's Wellness Festival, which is part of Mental Health Awareness Month. The event runs from 9:30am to 2:00pm. Marin CAMFT will be staffing a table. We need volunteers to arrive by 12:00pm to set up our table. The tabling part of the event goes from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. The first one will be hosted by East Bay CAMFT on May 24th at Redwood Park in Oakland. MARIN CAMFT OPPORTUNITY: POSITIONS OPEN ON OUR BOARD!As you can see by all the amazing announcements on this page, our Board of Directors is busy - and we are looking for a few more volunteers to help us continue this great momentum with events and programming for our chapter! SECRETARY Marin CAMFT has immediate need for a Secretary based on an unexpected vacancy. This person would serve out the remainder of the current term which ends in December, and then potentially go up for election for another two-year term through our standard elections process occurring this Fall. The Secretary is responsible for drafting agendas and minutes for monthly board meetings, and otherwise keeping us organized and in compliance as a non-profit organization. The Secretary position is part of the Executive team and so attends the Executive Board meetings and the full Board meetings, both of which occur on the second Friday of each month. As an officer position, the Secretary works with the President, President-Elect, Past President, and Treasurer on key decisions for the chapter. DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS We are also beginning the search for a new Director of Programs, to step into the role that our current Director Dr. Norman Hering will be vacating at the end of this year.
