COMMUNITY OUTREACH AT FOLSOM STREET FAIR

Marin CAMFT continues our collaboration with East Bay CAMFT in getting out into our communities and sharing resources about therapy. Our most recent effort was a booth with EBCAMFT at the Folsom Street Fair on Sunday, September 29th.

As part of this project, the Marin CAMFT Board wants to also invite our members to seek out training and consultation or seek out media to self-educate on diverse cultures, including reliable sources of information about sexuality and lifestyle choices, including BDSM, kink, polyamory, and other alternative modes of self-expression than what you may be currently familiar with. These Marin CAMFT outreach efforts are bringing new prospective clients to this website and our Therapist Directory, and participants, observers, and visitors from the Folsom Street Fair may be reaching out to our member therapists. Please be prepared to welcome such clients into your practice if you feel confident of your knowledge and skills in working with such diverse populations and identities, or be ready to ethically refer out if that would be a more appropriate response based on your expertise.
